The speaker this month will be Captain Ken Namowitz of the Charter boat MIMI VI.
Captain Ken will talk about black fishing, his favorite target.
Visitors and potential new members are welcome.
Annual Sinker Party March 6th
Saturday March 6th is the annual sinker party. It will be held at 9:00 am at Dome Sheet Metal,
712 16th Ave. in Belmar (across from Bar A). Bring any lead you have laying around.
The club has a large library of molds, chances are we have what you need. The only cost will
be for hooks and hardware that were purchased in bulk at a great discount. Crabby Jack is heading
this up and could use some help with the set up and break down. Also thanks to Dwayne Danish for
the use of the facility.
Annual Awards Dinner April 9th
The Fletcher memorial awards dinner is set for Friday April 9th. The first Friday of the month is Good
Friday, therefore the meeting date was moved to allow celebration of the day for those that wish. Ed Walsh is in
charge and will use all the help he can get. The event will be at the Spring Lake Manor.
The next meeting include some reports on the various meetings and the Washington D.C. Protest.
This will prove to be informative. Also we should have an answer on the fluke regulations from
the March 4th meeting in Toms River. I believe there is a speaker but could not get confirmation
in time to include it in the newsletter. Now is the time to start sharpening those hooks and tuning
up those reels. Before you know it the snow will be gone and the longer days will be upon us.
For those that didn't already register you must do so before you take that first trip.
That can be done for free. It takes about 3 weeks to process your info and get a card to you.
You can also print a temporary card if you need it sooner.

April 9th: Good Friday is the first Friday of the month. Therefore, the April meeting is the second Friday of the
month and will be the Awards dinner. Ed Walsh could use some help with this. See him at the next meeting.
